i think the biggest (and my least favorite) misconception abt the ag industry is this idea that we need to keep ramping up production in order to feed ppl. like its as if hunger = a result of scarcity. in the US this is just absolutely not true and its way more important to factor in food waste than it is negligably lower yield of foods 99% of the time. Industrial scale farming might produce the most food but it produces it in the most ecologically taxing way to turn the largest profit and then like a ton of stuff that Could Be Food is wasted anyway!
