Also, to any nsfw artists: Mastodon is a decentralized social network similar to twitter with better posting and anti-abuse tools, so it’s worth checking out! The main art instance (mastodon.art) doesn’t really allow nsfw art on the public timeline though (you CAN post it as follower only), so you may want to look into an instance that does allow nsfw public posts! The instance I’m on is artalley.porn, which welcomes adult art! It’s pretty small right now, so it’d be cool to get new artists on there! ALSO, you can choose FOCUS POINTS on your previews of your image posts, which is, BOMB. Instances (think like social media communities based on interests) can interact/follow users from other instances too, so if you join a small instance you can still look up content and users from all over mastodon to follow/interact with.

This is not about what I feel about my blog, but rather those who are affected, I’m talking mainly about sex workers and nsfw artists who have no choice but to make a living out of this. Especially since it’s on the international day to end violence against sex workers.

I might be left on tumblr, we don’t know, but I’m extremely disappointed at how Tumblr prioritizes the wrong issue when they could be tackling child pornography, pedophiles/maps, nazis, white supremacists and etc – things that we have been telling them all this time, but have fallen on deaf ears. I feel like this site has been dying since the purge, there is not much point anymore.

people who are like “I’m not against the decision to remove a good chunk of the income a lot of sex workers make from this website” are like so fucking wild because of course banning pedophiles and nazis is literally impossible to do without banning “female-presenting nipples” (however the fuck that ends up being interpreted) lmao.

They are not going to ban the pedophiles and Nazis because they don’t tag their posts in a way that Tumblr’s censorship will pick up. They make random insider codes for everything to hide it. The pornbots don’t tag anything. Meanwhile the Trans and sex worker blogs and the NSFW art blogs tag everything to make it obvious that they don’t want minors viewing their stuff and they will be the ones punished for it.
